Al-Araji: Iraq adopts a policy of balance in dealing with countries

    The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, confirmed on Monday, that Iraq is pursuing a policy of balance in dealing with countries.

    “With the guidance of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Supreme Security Committee for the Borders conducted on Monday, a visit to Erbil, headed by the National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji," according to a statement by the media office of the National Security Advisor received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The statement added, "The committee met with the region's Interior Minister, Reber Ahmed, where they discussed the measures taken by the region with regard to maintaining border security with neighboring countries."

    He pointed out that "the meeting witnessed discussion of issues of common interest, especially consolidating the foundations of security and stability and maintaining societal peace."

    Al-Araji stressed, according to the statement, that "Iraq seek a policy of balance in dealing with countries and is based on its interests as well as respect for its sovereignty," stressing, "the need for everyone to strive to achieve this principle, which guarantees the preservation of the security and stability of our country."
