The Popular Mobilization Forces announced today, Friday, the overthrow of a prominent terrorist leader in Baghdad.
The authority said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “in a successful tactical operation, the intelligence and information assistant detachments-General Directorate of Information of the Popular Mobilization Forces succeeded in overthrowing a prominent terrorist leader in the capital, Baghdad.”
"The operation was based on intelligence information and accurate follow-up, as the detachments were able to overthrow the terrorist leader (T.A.G.) in the capital, Baghdad, who worked in Anbar Province and later in North Baghdad Province."
According to the statement “The terrorist is one of the most prominent participants in the conference of clans supporting ISIS criminal gangs in Garma area, in which the Iraqi army soldier (Samir Murad) was killed," noting, "The necessary due process has been taken against the detainee.”
