PM: Work intensified in order to prevent tampers with security of Kirkuk

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani and the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, emphasized in a phone call on Saturday, the need for coordinated efforts to prevent any disruptions to the security and stability of Kirkuk. 

    They stressed the importance of law enforcement by security forces to ensure the continuity of civil peace and the well-being of the province's residents, according to a statement by the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The Prime Minister had another phone call with the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechervan Barzani. They discussed the situation in Kirkuk Governorate and emphasized the importance of not allowing any irresponsible elements to disrupt the harmonious and fraternal social fabric of the governorate, especially after its successful efforts in the defeat of terrorism. 

    "The diverse great people of Kirkuk exemplify peaceful coexistence and brotherhood in their city," included in the statement.

    The Prime Minister reiterated his directives to the competent authorities to conduct an investigation to find out who caused the death of one citizen and the injury of others.
