The Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, confirmed today, Tuesday, that Kirkuk is witnessing security stability and a reconstruction campaign.
Kirkuk governorate said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that, "The governor of Kirkuk and the head of the Supreme Security Committee, Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, received the Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, the deputy commander of joint operations, Lieutenant General Qais Khalaf Al-Muhammadi, and the commander of The ground forces, the director of military intelligence, and the commander of the advanced headquarters for joint operations in Kirkuk, Lieutenant General Jabbar Naima al-Taie, and a number of military leaders at the headquarters of the Eighth Division during their visit to Kirkuk.
"During the meeting, they discussed the security situation in Kirkuk province and joint cooperation efforts between the Kirkuk administration and the advanced headquarters, in a way that enhances the security and stability of the province and the safety of its citizens, "the statement added.
Yarallah praised the governor's "efforts to support the security forces."
The governor of Kirkuk indicated that "supporting the security forces is our duty," affirming that “The federal forces have proven their professionalism and patriotism".
