A security delegation headed by Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari arrived on Wednesday in the Jordanian capital Amman.
a statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived this morning in the Jordanian capital Amman, at the head of a security delegation, at the official invitation of his Jordanian counterpart, accompanied by the commander of the border forces, the director of drug control, and the director of civil status," noting that "the Jordanian Minister of Interior received Al-Shammari and his accompanying delegation."
The statement added that "this visit comes for the purpose of signing a memorandum of understanding, discussing strengthening the security of common borders, cooperation in the fight against narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as security issues of mutual interest."
