Russia’s Northern Fleet begins exercises to protect the Northern Sea Route

The Northern Fleet of Russia has begun a command and staff training, during which the protection of the communications of the Northern Sea Route will be worked out.
The exercise is led by the commander of the Northern Fleet Alexander Moiseevthe message says.
On August 2, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the start of the Ocean Shield 2023 naval exercise in the Baltic Sea. More than 30 warships and boats, 30 aircraft, and about 6,000 servicemen are involved in the maneuvers.
