Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani returned today, Thursday, to the capital, Baghdad, after concluding his visit to Maysan Governorate in which included:
• Inauguration of two 100MW combined cycle units at Amarah gas power station
• Inauguration of Al-Hakim Teaching Hospital in Maysan, with a capacity of 492 beds.
• Introducing a University City Project in Maysan, with plans being developed by international experts.
• Announcing two 100-bed hospital projects in Al-Mejar Al-Kabir and Ali Sharqi districts, Maysan Governorate.
• Unveiling a sewage water treatment plant project in Maysan Governorate.
• 90 billion dinars in flood compensation to affected residents in the governorate.
• Limiting public bidding for shops in the Modern Goldsmith's Market, Maysan Governorate, exclusively to goldsmiths from the Mandaean Sabians community.
• Directing the Minister of Oil to solve the problem of engineers from Maysan Governorate.
• A meeting was held with service department officials to discuss the service situation in Maysan Governorate.
• Meeting with Parliament Members representing Maysan Governorate, and discussing ways to improve the situation in the governorate.
• Meeting with tribal sheikhs and notables of Maysan Governorate.
• A security meeting was held with the security commanders in Maysan Governorate.
