Al-Sudani Chairs Meeting for the Higher Committee for Development Road Implementation

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani chaired the second meeting of the Higher Committee for the Development Road Project implementation. 

The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),"During the meeting, they reviewed the latest steps taken to advance the project, each fulfilling their assigned responsibilities." 

They also discussed the progress made in engaging with countries interested in participating and contributing to the project. 

Al-sudai instructed his team to involve the Department of Roads and Bridges in the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works to oversee the Development Road project route. 

Additionally, specialized departments will be established in the Ministries of Transportation and the Ministry of Construction and Housing to recruit personnel for monitoring and implementing the project. 

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of resolving conflicts with existing projects and ensuring meticulous coordination in this area. 

The meeting discussed appointing an economic consultancy for the project, establishing communication with international companies specialized project development and industrial cities, and reviewing the World Bank's proposals for implementation stages and investment files.
