Al-Halbousi receives Jordanian Prime Minister and the ministerial delegation accompanying him

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi affirmed on Tuesday, the legislative authority's support for strategic coordination between Iraq and Jordan.
A statement by the media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Al-Halbousi received the Jordanian Prime Minister, Bishr Al-Khasawneh, and the ministerial delegation accompanying him, and discussed with him the bilateral relations between the two countries, and emphasized the importance of implementing the agreements of the joint Iraqi-Jordanian committee to cooperate in a number of economic and investment files, including in the field of industry, energy, electrical connection, agriculture, environment, health, education, and security cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating terrorism, drug trade and issues of common interest, as well as cooperation between the Iraqi and Jordanian parliament and coordinating positions in Arab forums regional and international."

During the meeting, the Speaker of Parliament affirmed "the support of the legislative authority in Iraq for strategic cooperation and coordination between the two countries, and the achievement of economic integration for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples," appreciating "King Abdullah II's role in strengthening the foundations of cooperation in all fields."

For his part, the Jordanian Prime Minister expressed "his country's keenness to develop and strengthen cooperation between the two countries at all levels," praising "the state of security and stability in Iraq, which is a key factor for development and prosperity."
