4 magnitude earthquake hits Basra

Ministry of Transportation-MOT announced on Tuesday, that a 4-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Basra Governorate.
 
“The Ministry's seismic observatories in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake in Basra Governorate," said MOT in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
The statement stated that "The earthquake was recorded at exactly 12:22:36 a.m. today, Tuesday, local time, with a magnitude of (4) degrees, 22 km northeast Al-Hartha."
 
The statement added, “No losses were reported."
