Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani directed today, Sunday, the Minister of Interior and the Iraqi Red Crescent to help search for the Iranian president’s plane.
The official spokesman for the government, Basim Al-Awadi, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani directed the Ministry of Interior, the Iraqi Red Crescent, the rest of the competent authorities and available capabilities to the Islamic Republic of Iran to assist in the search for the Iranian president’s plane, which was lost in northern Iran.
Iranian media confirmed today, Sunday, that the landing accident of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s plane ended without any loss of life.
The media said: “The helicopter that was involved in the accident was carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian, and other officials.”
According to the statement "The Iranian president's helicopter was forced to land due to bad weather conditions in East Azerbaijan," noting that "bad weather conditions hinder relief teams from reaching Raisi's helicopter."
