PM Al-Khasawneh: Second phase of the electrical interconnection is rapidly progressing

Jordanian Prime Minister Beshr Hani Al-Khasawneh stressed on Monday, the importance of military coordination to counter-terrorism while noting that the second phase of electrical interconnection with Iraq is rapidly progressing.

"The Iraqi-Jordanian relations are renewed," Al-Khasawneh said in a press conference held with PM Muhammed Shia'a Al-Sudani in Baghdad, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency - INA, stressing "the importance of military coordination to counter-terrorism."

He added, "We suffer from drugs, and cooperation must be strengthened to confront this threat," noting that "we discussed the Iraqi needs for renewable energy."

"We discussed the tripartite mechanisms that bring us together with Iraq and Egypt," he said, pointing out that "the second phase of electrical interconnection with Iraq is proceeding rapidly."

He stressed, "There are promising discoveries near the Iraqi-Jordanian border."
