Water Resources Minister Aun Thiyab announced ,on Sunday, that a number of measures will be taken to communicate with neighboring countries about the water file.
Thiyab said in his speech during the Fourth International Water Conference, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA ) " Baghdad International Water Conference aims to be a gateway for joint cooperation on water", stressing "taking a number of measures that will communicate with neighboring countries about this file”.
"The limited water resources pose a challenge to Iraq", pointing that " the Ministry of Water Resources focus on the sustainability of water and its fair distribution" he added .
He pointed out that "Iraq is one of the most affected countries by climate change" ,stressing "the need for international support to support his position to face challenges”.
