President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid confirmed today, Monday, that peaceful coexistence is an essential pillar for building nations.
The Presidency of the Republic said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at the Baghdad Palace the delegation of the International Council for Religious and Humanitarian Dialogue headed by its Secretary-General Ali Musa al-Musawi."
During the meeting, the president stressed, according to the statement, that "peaceful coexistence is a basic pillar for building nations," pointing to "the importance of building a culture of coexistence by including it in school curricula, starting from the primary stage, to create a generation that believes in coexistence."
For his part, Al-Musawi explained to "the president the endeavor of the International Council for Religious and Humanitarian Dialogue and its continuous efforts to reject extremist ideology and its commitment to combating fanaticism and fully defending human rights."
