Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, discussed today, Sunday, with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Arab League’s support for Iraq’s policies.
The Ministry of Planning said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Planning, Muhammad Ali Tamim, received the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Iraq.”
"During the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Water Resources, Aoun Dhiab, a number of files and issues of common interest were discussed, including the relationship between Iraq and the League of Arab States, and the efforts of the League in supporting the policies of the Iraqi government, in the water file, and Iraq's openness to International society to build economic relations with countries of the world.
According to the statement "The two sides discussed the situation in Gaza, the blatant Zionist aggression against the Palestinians, and what should be done by the Arab countries and the international community to stop this aggression."
