Prime Minister Meets Total Energies CEO in Riyadh

    Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Sunday that all requirements for Total Energies’ success in its work are provided.
     
    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with Mr. Patrick Pouyanné, the CEO of Total Energies, at the Prime Minister's residence in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The meeting focused on discussing the progress of Total Energies' projects in Iraq, particularly in the sectors of associated gas, oil, and solar power plants. Mr. Pouyanné highlighted that Total Energies aims to complete the first phase of the solar power project and the initial phase of the associated gas project within the next year, aiming for a production capacity of 50 million cubic feet out of the designed 300 million cubic feet.
     
    The discussions also covered the potential uses of water from upcoming desalination projects in Basra for Total Energies oil projects in the region. Prime Minister Al-Sudani assured Mr. Pouyanné of the Iraqi government’s commitment to providing all necessary support for their operations, emphasizing the government’s efforts to enhance the investment environment through supportive laws and policies, underlining the significant impact of Total Energies projects on Iraq’s economy.
