Al-Abadi announces his support for PM decisions regarding the repercussions of burning the Holy Qur'an

The head of the Victory Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, announced on Thursday,  his support for the decisions of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani regarding the repercussions of burning the Holy Qur’an.

Al-Abadi expressed, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), his "support for the Prime Minister's decisions regarding the repercussions of burning the Holy Qur'an," calling on "the European Union to enact legislation deterring any offense against religions and cultures."

The statement added, "Sweden must seriously consider the seriousness of its policies, which are inconsistent with the sovereignty of states and the sanctity of religions."

It stressed, " security and world peace should not be captive to groups of hatred and hatred."
