Iraqi Air Force destroys a den of Daesh terrorist gangs in Diyala: SMC

The Security Media Cell SMC announced, on Thursday, the destruction of a den of Daesh terrorist gangs in Diyala.

SMC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "thanks to the great efforts exerted by the security sectors and the accurate intelligence effort and immediate handling of information, the national security service, with the planning and supervision of the targeting cell of the Joint Operations Command, was able to provide the Air Force with accurate information about an important target.

It added that " F-16 aircraft carried out an air strike in Al-Abara area in Diyala to target this place, and at 500 O'clock a force from the 21st Federal Police Brigade and national security detachments came out to inspect the place of the strike and found two bodies, two M16 rifles, a pistol, and a hand grenade.

It continued: "We will continue to destroy the dens of terrorists for just retribution from them and the security sectors will remain the safety of its honourable people".
