BPC Foils drug smuggling attempt at Al-Shalamcheh border crossing

    The Border Ports Commission-BPC announced on Saturday, that it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle a narcotic substance at Al-Shalamcheh border crossing.
     
    “Our forces Al-Shalamcheh border crossing managed to arrest an Iraqi traveler and seize the narcotic (Crystal Meth) that was hidden inside his shoe,” stated BPC in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
     
    The statement stressed that "A joint committee has been formed, a formal seizure report has been organized, and the accused and the seized items have been referred to the judiciary to take the appropriate legal measures against him."
