Al-Shammari arrives at Arar border crossing to oversee the dispatching of pilgrims

Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived Friday, at Arar border crossing to oversee the dispatching of pilgrims.

A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, arrived this morning at Arar border crossing, at the head of a delegation that included the head of the Hajj and Umrah Authority, the deputy commander of joint operations, the head of the Border Crossings Authority, the Director General of Civil Status and Passports, and Commander of the Ground Forces".

He added, "The visit aims to supervise on the field the implementation of the plan to secure convoys of pilgrims heading to the Holy Land through Arar border crossing, and to follow up the services provided to them from their point of departure to their departure from the homeland."
