Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, expressed on Wednesday, his condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr and his two sons.
A statement by his media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, consoled the Iraqi people, our great reviewer, and Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Grand Ayatollah, Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr and his two sons, " May Allah sanctify his secret " The hand of the tyrant."
The statement added, “Abdullah recalled this painful occasion and praised the patriotic and courageous stances of the martyr who stood in the face of the grave resurrection and was able to move the souls, feelings and conscience of the nation against the defunct regime, and sacrificed his life and gave his pure blood with his two sons for the sake of freedom and humanity and steadfastness on principles and truth and the rejection of all forms of injustice and tyranny."
It continued, "A tribute to the spirit of the martyr, his two sons, and all the martyrs of Iraq."
