Babil Court sentences one of ISIS leaders to death

Babil Criminal Court issued on Tuesday, a death sentence for one of the leaders of the ISIS terrorist gangs.

The Supreme Judicial Council -SJC stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Babil Criminal Court issued a death sentence for a terrorist in ISIS gangs who held a general military position in the so-called Jazira state in Anbar."

The statement added, "The ruling came in accordance with the provisions of Article 4/1 of the Anti-Terrorism Law, regarding the crime of detonating two car bombs and demolishing the Japanese bridge in Saqlawiya, which led to the death of four members of the Iraqi army and the wounding of 22 others."
