Iraq's ambassador in Ankara reveals great facilities for granting entry visas to Turkish citizens

    The Iraqi ambassador to Ankara, Majed Al-Lajmawi, revealed today, Thursday, great facilities for granting entry visas to Turkish citizens to Iraqi lands. 

    A statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara, Majed Al-Lajmawi, met today, the head of the consular department in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nordan Altintash, in the building of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.".

    The statement added, "In the meeting, they discussed coordination between the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq and the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and providing the necessary support for joint work at the level of facilitating the granting of entry visas between the two countries.".

    Al-Lajmawi confirmed, according to the statement, that "the embassy is working to facilitate procedures for granting entry visas to Iraqi lands for Turkish investors and businessmen based on the authority granted to us by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani during his visit to Ankara and his meeting with businessmen and investors on March 22, 2023, noting He added that "the embassy did not reject any request submitted to grant entry visas to Iraq, and its doors are open to receive businessmen and investors wishing to work in Iraq, and it is ready to remove obstacles that prevent the smooth flow of economic and commercial activity." He added, "There are great facilities to increase the number of visas granted.
    " For other categories of Turkish citizens, as for workers, the issue is related to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
    He pointed out, "Our consulate in Istanbul has been instructed to continue working on granting entry visas to Iraqi territory, and that the embassy is working to hold a seminar for Turkish businessmen and investors soon in Istanbul."
