DGIS arrests drug dealer in Najaf

The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security DGIS at the Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the arrest of a drug dealer in Najaf province.
 
The directorate said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The detachments of the Najaf Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security at the Ministry of Defense, with painful and successive blows to organized crime gangs and drug dealers, were able to arrest one of the dealers and promoters of narcotics in Najaf province."
 
It added that "the arrest took place after obtaining judicial approvals and issuing an arrest warrant in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) drugs," indicating that "all necessary measures were taken against him and referred to the competent authorities."
