INA - Baghdad The condition that Muqtada Al-sadr (the Sadrist Movement president) has supposedly offered to PM Haidar Abadi to quit Al-Dawa Islamic party before the new government is formed, is untrue, a close source told INA. Earlier today, Iraqi PM Abadi and Muqtada Al-sadr held a meeting in Baghdad at 01:00 am. During this meeting, Abadi congratulated the Iraqis for running the election on time and offered thankful words to the security forces for the given efforts meanwhile. Abadi also called for accepting the results and show objection s legally as the IHEC to examine it carefully. He also asserted the importance of the winners to put their duty in the parliament in action immediately. “This meeting came to work on forming the new government and to make sure that the next government to be strong and provide services and jobs, enhancing the social situation as well as fighting corruption,” Abadi explained. “We both have mutual points of view regarding the need to absorb everybody,” he added. Muqtada Al-sadr thanked and praised the PM for the victory achieved for his list “This meeting delivered a comforting message to the people toward the upcoming government,” Muqtada Al-sadr added. He asserted that his hand if widely open for those who seek to build the country and to have an Iraqi decision. “It is very important to form a government that takes in consideration the hopes of all Iraqis,” Al-sadr said.
