IOM announces the killing of one of its employees in Sudan

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced the death of an employee of its staff early Friday, after his vehicle got caught in an exchange of gunfire.
"I am deeply saddened by the death of our colleague, and I share his wife, newborn son and our mourning team in Sudan," said Antonio Vitorino, Secretary-General of the organization.
The organization stated, "The employee was traveling with his family near El-Obeid when he was shot dead, and El-Obeid is a town southwest of the capital, Khartoum."
