President Rashid confirms Iraq's readiness to make efforts to secure constructive dialogue in Sudan

    President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid confirmed on Monday, Iraq's readiness to make efforts to secure constructive dialogue in Sudan.

    The President of the Republic said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We are following with pain the unfortunate developments in the Republic of Sudan, which claimed the lives of citizens, damaged institutions, and disrupted opportunities to continue building and progress in the democratic and peaceful path in the brotherly country."

    The statement added, "Our firm confidence in the wisdom of the brothers in Sudan and their ability to peaceful and democratic dialogue is enough to reassure us that we will overcome this crisis by immediately stopping fighting and armed actions, in a manner that preserves the sanctity of blood and a return to the paths of democracy and peace," expressing "Iraq's keenness on the security and peace of the Sudanese and on the democracy of the regime Politician."

    It expressed his hope "to renounce the use of arms, force and violence between brothers and to rely on the constants of democracy to enhance opportunities for dialogue in a way that preserves life, peace and justice," stressing "Iraq's readiness to make efforts and help in securing opportunities for constructive dialogue in a way that contributes to prevailing the logic of peace and enhances the democratic approach."

    The statement continued, "We pray for the preservation of life and safety," reiterating his "confidence in the wisdom of reason and the wisdom that the brothers in the sisterly Republic of Sudan were known for."
