Iraqi National Security Service-INSS announced on Thursday, the arrest of 35 blackmailing suspects in 6 governorates.
"The detachments of INSS, according to judicial arrest warrants, were able to arrest 35 accused who practiced various types of blackmailing many victims for large sums of money in exchange for not publishing their photos via social media sites," INSS said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "The arrests took place in the governorates (Anbar, Diyala, Babil, Holy Karbala, Wasit, and Kirkuk) and were based on complaints filed by the victims, and they were dealt with according to the law."
