Minister of the Environment: inclusion of climate change projects for first time in Iraq's budgets

Umedi said the program "Under Two Lines", which is shown on Al-Iraqiya News, was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the "previous wars led to delays in building infrastructure," pointing out that "climatic changes have severe effects on Iraq, and we are on the right path to confront it.”
He added, "For the first time in Iraq's history, climate change projects are included in the budget," stressing that "the associated gas investment will reduce the percentage of carbon."
He pointed out that "the oil industry causes air and soil pollution," noting that "water pollution is the most important pollution in the country."
