Minister of Higher Education: Iraq looks forward to develop cooperation with international organizations

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naeem Al-Aboudi said on Wednesday that Iraq aspires to develop cooperation with international organizations and bodies.
 
"Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Science and Technology and Chairman of the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission Naeem Al-Aboudi discussed with the Executive Director of the Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation in Vienna (VCDNP) Elena K. Sokova paths of cooperation in the field of peaceful technologies and increasing training opportunities and joint programs," said a statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
The statement added that "the meeting discussed ways of coordination to strengthen Iraq's international standing and its participation in programs, workshops and conferences organized by international bodies, organizations and agencies."
 
During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of his visit to the International Atomic Energy Agency in the Austrian capital, Vienna, Al-Aboudi stressed that "Iraq looks forward to develop cooperation with international organizations and bodies to benefit from opportunities and joint training programs in the field of peaceful uses in the field of nuclear techniques."
