Rashid and Al-Halbousi stress the Parliament monitoring and legislative role

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and the Speaker of the Parliament, Muhammed Al-Halbousi, stressed the importance of activating the monitoring and legislative role of the Parliament.

"Al-Halbousi met on Monday, President Rashid during his visit to Sulaymaniyah, at the invitation of the President to participate in the celebrations of the Kurdish people on the occasion of Newroz," included a statement by the Office of the Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, "The meeting discussed the political situation in the country, and emphasized the importance of activating the monitoring and legislative role of the Parliament. They also discussed a number of important legislation, including the Parliament and provincial elections law, as well as other laws included in the ministerial curriculum and the political agreement document."
