The General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring announced on Monday's evening, that a slight earthquake occurred, 38 km southeast of Sinjar, Nineveh.
"Our seismic observatories detected a 'slight' earthquake this evening, Monday, at 07:37:00 local time," said the seismic monitoring department of the authority in a report received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
It included, "It occurred 38 km southeast of Sinjar, Nineveh Governorate, and its magnitude reached 3.1 as it has not been felt."
