The representative of the UNESCO in Iraq, Paolo Fontani, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the “Study in Iraq” initiative, which was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, will restore the bright image and strengthen relations between Iraq and the countries of the region.

Fontani said, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq is considered one of the leading countries in the region by adopting the first letter, and the first alphabet, and in it Dar Al-Hikma was established between the ninth and tenth centuries AD, which in our current sense is considered one of the first international universities."
