The Supreme Religious Authority Sayyid Al-Sistani, receives the Vatican delegation in Al-Najaf

The Supreme Religious Authority, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, received on Thursday,  a delegation from the Vatican State, headed by Cardinal Miguel Angel Ayuso Guixot, President of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, in Al-Najaf province .
 
A statement from Sayyid Ali Al-Sistani's office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated:" Cardinal Guixot conveyed a message of thanks and appreciation from Pope Francis on the occasion of the anniversary of his reception in Al-Najaf".
 
The statement continued, " Pontifical delegation included President of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, Cardinal Miguel Angel Ayuso Guixot, the council's secretary Marcos Solo, and the secretary of the Vatican Embassy in Iraq, Charles Luanga Suona."
