Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani mourned today, Friday, the passing of the heritage researcher and critic known as Abdul Hamid Hamoudi.
A statement by the Prime Minister’s Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “Al-Sudani joins the Iraqi cultural elite in mourning the passing of the esteemed national and intellectual figure, the renowned heritage researcher and critic, Abdul-Hamid Hammoudi.
Since the 1950s until his passing, Mr. Hammoudi was a steadfast pillar of popular heritage, dedicating his life to serving Iraqi culture as a researcher, historian, and critic.
We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to his family and admirers. To God we belong, and to Him we shall return.
