The Iraqi National Security Service INSS announced Thursday the arrest of 21 accused of blackmail in separate governorates.
A statement of INSS, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the National Security Agency's detachments, based on judicial approvals, carried out operations that resulted in the arrest of (21) suspects who threatened and bargained with citizens through social media by publishing their private photos in exchange for sums of money."
It added, "All the accused have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to receive their fair punishment."
