The Popular Mobilization Authority announced today, Tuesday, the launch of a joint security operation to track down ISIS remnants south of Mosul.
The authority said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a force from the army and the 58th Brigade in the Popular Mobilization carried out a security operation to track down ISIS remnants south of Mosul," noting that "the operation included searching Kanous Island, south of Mosul."
According to the statement "The security services and the Popular Mobilization Brigades continue their proactive operations to prevent ISIS from returning to the liberated areas."
