17 terrorists, including a prominent leader, were killed in Anbar

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced today, Sunday, the killing of 17 terrorists, including a prominent leader, in Anbar.
     
     
    In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Rasool said: "Under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, and under the direct supervision of the head of the Anti-Terrorism Service, the Anti-Terrorism Service embarked on a duty, at dawn today, to hunt down ISIS terrorist gangs in Akashat in the desert of Anbar Governorate west of the country.”
    According to the statement "The units of the heroic apparatus clashed with members of ISIS gangs and were able to kill 17 terrorist elements, including a very prominent leader in the terrorist ISIS gangs and other leading elements," noting, "The Commander-in-Chief praised the efforts, valor, and courage of the men of the hard errands of the Counter-Terrorism Service and each of the they were supported by heroes in the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, as well as the Joint Operations Command, in carrying out this heroic operation.
