The Iraqi Ministry of Transportation announced on Sunday that its seismic observations in the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring recorded an earthquake in Anbar.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale hit the northwestern areas of Rutba of Anbar province at 02:47:22 this morning local time," noting that "the tremor was felt by citizens clearly and there were no significant losses."
The ministry called on "citizens to take and caution, stay away from rumors and false news, and abide by the seismic commandments issued by the Authority."
