President Rashid: Security challenges call for us to close ranks, unite words and overcome political differences

President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed today, Sunday, that security challenges call for us to close ranks, unite words and overcome political differences, indicating that the security forces were able to defeat the forces of darkness and terrorism.
 
The President of the Republic said in a speech on the occasion of the (104) anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi army, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): " We proudly and honorably remember the heroism of the Iraqi army as it confronted the terrorist forces that wanted evil for Iraq," adding that "building a national army capable of facing challenges and rearming it with the latest weapons and equipment must be a top priority."
 
Rashid added, "Our message in building our national army is to protect the people, protect their freedom and constitution, and defend the borders of the homeland.  
 
The President of the Republic pointed out that "the Iraqi army, with its various kinds and the participation of the Counter-Terrorism Service, the Federal Police, the Popular Mobilization Forces, Peshmerga and the rest of the security forces, was able to defeat the forces of darkness and terrorism, so the projects of this terrorist plot fell on the walls of the homeland."
