First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, affirmed on Friday, Iraq's firm and permanent position towards the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Mandalawi received the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Ahmed Fattouh, and the parliamentary delegation accompanying him," pointing out, "Al-Mandalawi welcomed the President of the Palestinian delegation who will participate in 34th Conference of Arab Inter-parliamentary Union."
Al-Mandalawi stressed, according to the statement, "Iraq's firm and permanent position towards the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, and the importance of benefiting from the presence of the participating Arab parliaments to enhance cooperation and achieve the aspirations and interests of the peoples."
