MOFA: Intensive contacts to find out the safety of Iraqi community following Antakya earthquake

Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs - MOFA announced that it is conducting intensive contacts to find out the safety of the Iraqi community following the Antakya earthquake.

"Our response is still urgent for the people of our honorable community in Turkey and Syria," said the ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, "We are in active contact with the authorities in Turkey to find out the safety of the Iraqis from the earthquake that occurred in Antakya this evening."

The Turkish Disaster Management Authority announced, on Monday evening, that a 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey.
