UNAI praise Technology University actions for protecting and preserving the Iraqi Heritage

    The United Nations Academic Impacts praised the University of Technology's actions to protect and perseve Iraq's heritage as well as achieve sustainable development goals.

    "It is an affirmation of meaningful global integration and pursuant to the tasks undertaken by Iraqi universities in preserving the cultural and civilized environment of Iraq, especially the universities that have obtained membership in the United Nations Academic Impact Program - UNAI," according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announcement in an official statement, which was received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA. 

    The statement included that "the website of the international organization praised the procedures of the University of Technology to protect and preserve the Iraqi heritage by taking the initiative to establish the first unit of historical preservation technology in compliance with the agenda and goals of sustainable development. It comes also by designing a postgraduate program within the field of architecture and implementing the UOT Virtual Museum project to preserve and document the Iraqi heritage digitally."

    The Ministry affirmed its "relentless endeavor to frame cooperation at the global level, intertwine expertise, and employ human and scientific capabilities to achieve qualitative partnerships, consolidate the impact, increase academic interaction, and respond to the sustainable development strategy that extends until 2030."
