SMC: An officer and two soldiers were killed in a suicide bomber in Tarmiya

The Security Media Cell announced today, Thursday, the death of an officer and two soldiers, as a result of the explosion of an explosive belt in Tarmiya, north of Baghdad.

The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "To thwart the intentions of the terrorist elements and with a qualitative operation based on accurate intelligence information by the Intelligence and Security Department of the Baghdad Operations Command, and through preemptive operations for securing protection for the Rajabian visit, a force from the Commando Brigade / Baghdad Operations Command raided a den of ISIS terrorist gangs and killed three terrorists, one of them wearing an explosive belt, in the Tarmiya district, north of the capital, Baghdad.

The cell added, "An officer was killed and another wounded, and two fighters were martyred as a result of the explosion of the explosive belt."
