The Federal Intelligence & Investigations Agency (FIIA) announced on Monday, the seizure of 800,000 liters of oil derivatives in 3 locations.
FIIA stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "under the supervision of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and the follow-up of the Undersecretary for Intelligence Affairs and Federal Investigations, and to complement the measures taken by the Intelligence and Federal Investigations Agency to limit the activity of oil derivatives smuggling gangs and thwart their criminal scheme that targets the capabilities of In the country, the agency's detachments carried out qualitative duties that resulted in thwarting the smuggling of more than 800,000 liters of oil derivatives and exposing 3 sites used for trading and recycling derivatives in the provinces of Anbar, Basra and the holy Karbala."
It continued, "28 vehicles used for the same purpose above were also seized in Basra, Maysan, Dhi Qar, Diwaniyah, Baghdad, Diyala, and Kirkuk, and their drivers were arrested," stressing that "dealing with the seized items and the fundamentally accused according to the law."
