The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Monday, the seizure of dens for smuggling oil derivatives in 5 provinces, while it indicated that (235) thousand liters of oil derivatives intended for smuggling were confiscated.
A statement by the SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Iraqi National Security service (INSS) detachments were able to seize dens for smuggling oil derivatives in several governorates, during raids that took place in coordination with the concerned authorities and according to judicial notes."
The statement added, "The device's detachments in the governorates of Diwaniyah, Baghdad, Diyala, Basra and Kirkuk managed to seize (13) vehicles and (13) tanks, in addition to (32) barrels, containing (235) thousand liters of oil derivatives intended for smuggling, in addition to (48) An empty gas cylinder.
It pointed out, "The seized items were transferred, to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures."
