The Minister of Natural Resources in Kurdistan Region, Kamal Atrushi, announced today, Monday, that the fuel crisis in the region is technical, while noting that Baghdad will supply the region with more than one million liters of gasoline per day.
Atrushi said in a press conference after his meeting with the Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, and the Iraqi News Agency (INA) followed it, that "The problem with the lack of production of fuels in the region is technical due to a malfunction in the Bazian refinery plant," noting that "an agreement was reached with the Ministry of Oil in the federal government to fix the technical failure at the station."
He added, "The Federal Oil Ministry pledged to supply the region with one million and 80,000 liters of gasoline per day," noting that "it was agreed to provide the region with other fuels daily, as follows:
150 million liters of kerosene in 3 stages at a price of 400 dinars per liter
The first phase: 50 million liters of kerosene will be supplied to villages in the border areas and mountainous and remote areas.
The second phase: 50 million liters of kerosene for districts, sub-districts and small cities.
The third stage: 50 million liters of kerosene for city centers and governorates.
