Maysan Ops arrest three suspects in drug trafficking

    Maysan Operations Command announced on Saturday the arrest of three individuals involved in drug trafficking and distribution within the province.

    A statement from the command, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "under the directives of Maysan Operations Commander Major General Abdul Hussein Khafif Lazim, and under the supervision of the Commander of the 22nd Commando Division, a force from the 3rd Commando Regiment of the 80th Brigade arrested two drug traffickers in\ Al-Qal’ah district. 

    Meanwhile, a force from the 2nd Commando Regiment of the 81st Brigade apprehended a drug dealer in Al-Maimouna district."

    The statement further noted, "The arrested individuals were handed over to the appropriate authorities as per legal procedures."
