Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced today, Thursday, that the number of victims of the earthquake that struck his country has risen to more than 16,000.
Erdogan said, in statements followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the number of earthquake victims has risen to 16,170, while the number of wounded has so far reached 64,194."
He added, "The number of collapsed buildings has increased to 6,444," pointing out that "his country will launch, after removing the rubble, the process of rebuilding what was destroyed by the earthquake."
