The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA announced on Sunday the arrest of four people accused of stealing 3 billion dinars from a residence in Najaf.
FIIA said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “FIIA detachments in Najaf province carried out a security operation based on intelligence information through which they were able to arrest four fugitive defendants who committed an armed robbery at a residence of a businessman in the province."
"The defendants stole 3 billion Iraqi dinars and 3 kilograms of gold jewelry from a residence in Najaf province," FIIA also said.
It confirmed that "part of the stolen amount and vehicles purchased by members of the gang were seized," indicating "taking the necessary legal measures against them."
